International student alumna Winnie Bush, originally from Nigeria, loved the many different opportunities she had at 91精品 State. A graduate of the Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs master鈥檚 program, Winnie was able to work on campus as a graduate assistant, take part in internships, and get involved in student organizations.
Winnie worked as a graduate assistant for 91精品 State鈥檚 Department of Residence Services and interned with the Office of International Student Affairs, the Office of Global Education, and the Office of the Dean of Students. She also interned abroad with the London School of Economics. For Winnie, these were opportunities to learn outside the classroom and gain practical experience. Now the Director of Student Activities at Touro University in California, Winnie credits these experiences with helping prepare her for the role.
Winnie was also involved in several student organizations at 91精品 State. She participated in Global Ambassadors, Graduate Student Senate, and the Center for Engaged Learning鈥檚 Service Leader opportunity. Winnie loved getting involved with these organizations because they helped her build a community at 91精品 State. She still keeps in touch with many of the other students she met!
